Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at strategic accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand Ansys' footprint within assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate complex contracts and manage the sales process from prospecting to closure.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet revenue targets and ensure accurate reporting through CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Monitor account performance, analyze sales data and present insights and progress reports to senior leadership.
- Provide market feedback to support product innovation and inform go-to-market strategies.
- Track industry trends and competitor activities to position Ansys as a solutions leader.
- Lead and manage a team of Account Representatives (ARs) and Account Managers (AMs).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technical or solution-based sales, including at least 5 years of leading and managing a sales team.
- Proven experience in engineering or simulation software sales (e.g., Ansys).
- Strong understanding of industries such as aerospace, automotive, oil & gas, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes and account management principles.
- Experience using CRM tools, especially Salesforce, for pipeline and data management.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, competitor activity and market trends to inform account strategy.
- Proficiency in preparing business cases, quotations and contract documentation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of the Middle East business landscape with an established network and ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- MBA degree desirable.
