Job Description

A Specialist Professional is a recognized subject matter expert in the job area, typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from a manager, coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower‑level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

The opportunity

A Specialist Professional will develop and implement sales strategy and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy. They will achieve sales targets relative to budgets and sales efficiency, supporting, maintaining, and growing existing accounts.

They will develop customer relationships within Saudi Arabia to win new customers and gain recurring revenue from existing customers, partnering with other Hitachi Energy sales organizations to build pipeline and increase overall brand.

They will ensure sales achievement through regular oversight and implementation of improvement plans. They will develop the pipeline in an organized approach to target prospects in identified segments and territories. They will identify opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical areas, determine acquisition plans, allocate resources, and provide customer and market feedback on market segment intelligence and needs.

They will participate in training, provide feedback on trade events and marketing needs, support the development of strong relationships with key customers, own sales processes, and manage all relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs.

They work with Sales Engineering to respond to customer technical needs as part of the sales process, coordinate sales efforts closely with operating unit functions and extended sales team, and provide customer and partner feedback to Product Management to ensure clear communication of requirements.

They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.

Background
  • A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
