Responsibilities

  • Drive regional BDM opportunities for assigned market/vertical with a high level of commercial, technical/operational and market understanding.
  • Enhance sales owners with capabilities and knowledge to profitably grow with the customer in MPL and eventually integrated solutions.
  • Identify business opportunities in core and new verticals to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Develop opportunities for MPL and coordinate with solution team to provide pricing for opportunities identified by commercial teams.
  • Maximize synergies and overall profitability on opportunities.
  • Lead the RFI, RFQ and RFP process for MPL as co‑sponsor with sales, ensuring submitted proposals are comprehensive, competitive and within global product parameters.
  • Review and vet contracts to ensure product technical standards and requirements are met.
  • Support new business pursuits with sales/internal stakeholders to deliver sound business proposals on time.
  • Approach new leads jointly with relevant sales colleague, transferring opportunity ownership to sales in line with sales accountability.
  • Break down product solutions in a simplistic fashion to internal sales and customers.
  • Support sales in pursuing deals for relevant products (inbound marketing leads, trade shows, past relationships, etc.) while ownership stays with sales.
  • Lead sales calls to promote MPL capability to target customers, leveraging product knowledge.
  • Increase MPL knowledge and awareness among sales and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide rapid solutions to sales and customers.
  • Act as a center of excellence within the region for MPL, owning costing and pricing where necessary.
  • Provide expertise for MPL as a consultant to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction within MPL and act as voice of the customers within the MPL organization.
Accountable for
  • MPL growth (top‑line/volume) delivery.
  • Profitability of MPL within the geographical scope.
  • MPL support and sales metrics for MPL (TBC with SAL closed‑won/churn etc.).
  • Market intelligence for MPL within the geographical scope.
  • Focused vertical MPL sales within the geographical scope.
Critical Competencies
  • Deep Special Project Logistics industry knowledge (10+ years) selling and solutioning core technical service offerings.
  • Financial and pricing acumen.
  • In‑depth understanding of local industry market trends.
  • Solid understanding of customer industry needs and requirements for respective products.
  • Well‑developed stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong understanding of commercial solution sales process.
