Overview

To carry out preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of diesel engine–driven dewatering pumps and generators, ensuring reliable operation during normal conditions and critical situations.

• Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel engines including oil change, filter replacement, belt checks, and cooling system inspection.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults related to starting, overheating, abnormal noise, vibration, or smoke emissions.
• Carry out maintenance of dewatering pumps, including inspection of impellers, seals, bearings, suction and discharge lines.
• Ensure proper pump priming, alignment, and discharge pressure before operation.
• Attend breakdown and emergency call-outs, especially during rain or flood events.
• Coordinate with electricians for issues related to control panels, alarms, and safety interlocks.
• Report equipment condition, defects, and spare part requirements to the supervisor.

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Diesel Engine Technology

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine maintenance.
• Mandatory UAE Driving license - Manual
• Experience with dewatering pumps, stormwater pumps, or construction pumping systems is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and pump systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently

• Outdoor and site-based work
• Willingness to work shifts, nights, and emergency duties
