We are looking for a hands-on Technical Site Inspector to support our sales process and post-installation quality control.
This role bridges sales, installation, and technical assessment. The inspector performs on-site inspections, evaluates HVAC and ventilation systems, identifies moisture and mold risk areas, prepares visual technical reports, and explains practical installation solutions to clients.
This is a field-based technical position requiring strong practical experience in HVAC, ventilation, or AC installation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Inspections (Pre-Sales)
- Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties (villas, apartments, gyms, offices).
- Assess existing systems:
- Air conditioning units (split, ducted, VRF)
- Ventilation and exhaust systems
- Fresh air intake points
- Identify:
- Poor airflow areas
- Visible or suspected mold / biofilm locations (including using UV flashlight)
2. Technical Reporting
- Prepare clear visual inspection reports including:
- Photos
- Short technical descriptions (what is observed, where, and why it matters)
- Risk classification (low / medium / high)
- Practical recommendations
- Reports must be understandable for clients, not only for engineers.
3. Product & Installation Feasibility
- Evaluate physical feasibility of installing Onyx Nova units:
- Available space
- Access for ducting
- Confirm:
- Which unit models fit
- Installation complexity level
- Explain to clients how the installation will look in reality:
- Where ducts will go
- Where the unit will be placed
- What areas will be opened or accessed
4. Client Communication (Technical)
- Communicate directly with clients during site visits:
- Answer technical questions in simple, non-engineering language
- Explain risks related to humidity, condensation, and mold
- Align expectations before quotation and installation
This role supports sales.
5. Installation Supervision & Quality Control
- Visit ongoing installations to:
- Verify correct placement of units
- Check duct routing and connections
- Ensure installation matches approved technical concept
- Flag issues early (before completion).
- Provide feedback to installers and internal team.
Required Experience & Background
Mandatory (must have)
- Hands-on experience in HVAC / ventilation / AC installation
- Installer
- Ducting specialist
- AC maintenance / cleaning professional
- Ability to:
- Read a space technically (ceilings, shafts, airflow logic)
- Understand how air moves, where condensation forms, why mold appears
- Practical understanding of:
- Basic ventilation layouts
- Exhaust and fresh air systems
- Comfortable working on-site, not office-based.
Important (strong advantage)
- Experience in:
- Mold remediation support
- Facility maintenance
- Fit-out or renovation projects
- Experience working inside:
- Gyms
- Commercial buildings
Skills & Personal Qualities
- Ability to explain technical things simply
- Confident communication with clients
