An Elevator Technician is a specialized professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevator systems, escalators, and moving walkways. - Install and test new elevator, escalator, and moving walkway systems in buildings.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance for elevator safety and reliability.

- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate elevator systems during building development.
- Ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations and standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Replace or upgrade outdated elevator components to enhance performance and safety.
- Provide expert advice to clients regarding elevator usage and maintenance practices.
- Perform load and safety testing to verify elevator operability and reliability.
- Educate building personnel on the proper operation of elevator systems.
- Continuously update knowledge of emerging technologies and advancements in elevator systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as an elevator technician or similar mechanical role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic system operations.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment specific to elevator repair and maintenance.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail in complex systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team effectively.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined or restricted spaces.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for on‑site service calls.
