Job Description

An A/C Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring air conditioning systems function efficiently and effectively in various settings including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This position requires a detailed understanding of A/C systems, the ability to diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and make necessary repairs. Successful candidates will have strong problem‑solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the capability to adhere to safety standards while working.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and ensure effective troubleshooting and resolution.
• Install new air conditioning units in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and safety standards in operations.
• Consult with customers to outline work requirements and present maintenance options.
• Calibrate system controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
• Maintain records of all inspections and repairs for future reference and compliance.
• Provide detailed reports to supervisors or clients after each service or repair job.
• Stay updated on technological advancements and changes in air conditioning technology.
• Advise clients on best practices for maintaining their A/C units in good condition.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members on complex repairs.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials to facilitate efficient workflow.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on technical training.
• Certification or licensure as an HVAC technician is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in installing and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits and mechanical systems related to A/C units.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Familiarity with local safety regulations and industry‑standard codes and practices.
• Ability to handle physically demanding work including lifting heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematic diagrams for A/C units.
• Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on timely problem resolution.
