Electrician

Key Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults in industrial machines including lathes, milling machines, horizontal boring machines, and VTLs.
• Execute both emergency breakdown repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance on manual and CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate motor starters, VFDs, variable frequency drives, and limit switches.
• Oversee shop floor electrical load distribution, including the installation and maintenance of bus bars, distribution boards (DBs), and industrial plug sockets.
• Manage new machine installations from start to finish, including cable tray laying, wire pulling, and final power terminations.
• Monitor and maintain high‑value infrastructure, including transformers, main switch gear, and capacitor banks, to ensure a stable power supply and proper power factor.
• Read and interpret AutoCAD electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings for rapid faultfinding and system modifications.
• Maintain accurate logs of electrical spares and inventory.
• Enforce and adhere to Lockout–Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols during all repair activities.
• Ensure all earthing and lightning protection systems are functional and strictly compliant with safety standards.

• Education:
  
  ITI / NCVT (Electrician Trade) is mandatory.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Electrician specifically within a Machine Shop environment.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Expertise in both manual and CNC machine electrical systems; proficiency in reading/interpreting AutoCAD (Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic) schematics.
• Strong understanding of industrial power distribution and load management.
