Installation Technician, Field/Service Technician, Security Systems Installation, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Install security system components, units, and printed circuit boards following instructions from the Project Engineer (e.g., cameras, motion detectors, electronic locks, etc.).
- Install structured cabling for various systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Install and service various intrusion, CCTV, and access control systems in both commercial and high‑end residential environments.
- Travel to various customer sites performing installation and service work.
- Work independently as well as in group settings; be a highly motivated self‑starter, well organized and able to multi‑task.
- Use and test electronic equipment for reading voltage (e.g., digital multimeter).
- Use hand tools and small power tools (e.g., drilling machines, screwdrivers, cutters).
- Read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.
- Fabricate parts and cables to ensure a successful installation.
- Work closely with the Project Engineer.
- Adhere to common safety practices.
- 3–5 years’ experience in security services companies.
- Prior education, training, or knowledge of basic electronics and security systems (e.g., IP surveillance, intrusion detection, access control, electronic power supplies).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Very good command of English.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently (e.g., ladders, heavy tools and machinery). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
