Responsibilities
- Mixes paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture
- Paints surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Applies varnish and other finishes
- Calculates costs and negotiates prices
- Takes and adheres to all health and safety precautions
- Maintains a clean and safe workspace and abides by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Abides other tasks as directed
- Implements Sustainable Practices Policies in Facilities Management s operations
- Industrial Training Certificate
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Painter
- Knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
- Knowledge of using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
- Knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
- Knowledge of basic math
- Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, etc
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to lead a team of painters and be a good team player
