The COE Trainer is responsible for delivering high‑quality, practical, and competency‑based training for civil construction trades to ensure a safe, skilled, and job‑ready workforce. The role focuses on improving technical capability, productivity, safety compliance, and workmanship standards across civil construction activities in line with UAE regulations, client standards, and project requirements.
Training Delivery & Assessment- Deliver classroom and hands‑on practical training for the specific trades such as Masonry, Shuttering/Formwork, Steel Fixing, Concreting, General Civil Works, Carpenter, Gypsum works, etc.
- Conduct induction, refresher, upskilling, and corrective training programmes.
- Demonstrate correct tools, equipment usage, methods of work, and best practices.
- Adapt training delivery to suit low‑literacy and multi‑national work forces.
- Conduct skill assessments, trade tests, and competency evaluations for new and existing workers.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted training interventions.
- Maintain assessment records, results, and competency matrices.
- Manage inventory for training delivery, ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good condition and safe to use in the training facility.
- Ensure there are adequate consumables to conduct the training and inform administration in a timely manner so that orders can be placed in advance.
- Embed HSE principles into all training programmes, including Safe Work Practices, PPE Compliance, Tool Box Talks (TBTs), Risk Awareness.
- Align training with UAE Labour Law, local authority requirements, and company HSE standards.
- Reinforce quality, safety, and productivity standards expected on site.
- Assist in developing and updating training materials, lesson plans, SOPs, and practical guides.
- Ensure training content reflects current site practices, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Provide feedback to the Training Manager on emerging skill gaps and workforce capability issues.
- Support training audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Support in overseas and in‑country recruitment drives by conducting skills assessments for candidates and grading them.
- Conduct technical training based on the trade hired for Civil Works, MEP, Interiors and Joinery Works.
- Deliver induction and refresher training on construction methods and best practices.
- Organise on‑site demonstrations, mock‑ups, and practical skill sessions.
- Train teams on reading drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Support HSE team in conducting safety training and toolbox talks.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Maintain training records, attendance logs, and competency assessments.
- Adhere to company policies, code of conduct, conflict of interest, standards, rules and regulations at all times.
- Always prioritise keeping employee information and sensitive data confidential.
- Prioritise and ensure full compliance with the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies established by the company.
- Accurate and on‑time submissions of balanced scorecards.
- Maintain supportive documentation to substantiate the actual performance for all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) outlined in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and methods.
- Knowledge of quality standards, inspection procedures, and workmanship benchmarks.
- Good understanding of construction safety practices and regulations.
- Training delivery and technical demonstration skills.
- Work sequencing and manpower understanding.
- Site coordination and reporting documentation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Coaching and mentoring capability.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage diverse work forces and training environments.
- Practical, patient, and hands‑on approach.

- Minimum 8–12 years of hands‑on experience in civil construction trades.
- Proven experience as a Trainer / Instructor / Chargehand / Supervisor.
- Strong practical knowledge of civil construction methods and materials.
- Experience working with multi‑national work forces.
- Ability to communicate clearly in Hindi/Urdu.
- Basic to intermediate English.
- Training or assessor certification (e.g. Train the Trainer, Assessor Award, or equivalent).
- Experience in GCC construction projects.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and record‑keeping.
