Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment, machinery, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose and repair hydraulic faults involving pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, hydraulic motors, and related components. Inspect machinery for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and safety‑related defects. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs to minimize operational downtime. Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, axles, braking systems, steering systems, and powertrain components.
Conduct pressure testing, performance testing, and system diagnostics on hydraulic equipment. Replace defective components and verify proper operation after repairs. Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment drawings. Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions. Perform routine inspections and recommend corrective actions to prevent future breakdowns.
- Diploma, ITI, Technical Certification, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Hydraulics, or related field.
- Minimum 8–15 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and hydraulic system repairs.
- Valid driving license (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working on excavators, wheel loaders, cranes, forklifts, generators, pumps, and other heavy equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and asset management practices.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hydraulic testing instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Good communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
- Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
