Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, switches, circuits, and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure continuous system operation.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and improve system reliability.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on electrical systems to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and standards in the UAE and ensure compliance in all electrical work.
- Assist in the installation of new electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment as required.
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams to integrate electrical systems into overall building operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
- Generate detailed reports on electrical system status, highlighting any issues, recommendations, or improvements needed.
- Participate in emergency response teams to address electrical issues promptly and effectively.
- Be available for on-call duty as necessary to address urgent electrical problems.
- Coordinate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to report progress and discuss potential issues.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and recommend upgrades or modifications to electrical systems.
- Stay informed about new technologies, tools, and techniques in the electrical field to enhance work quality and efficiency.
- ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as an Electrician, preferably in a facility management or related environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Should have min 2 years work experience in UAE - Facility/Maintenance Industry. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
