Technician - HVAC

What you will do

The Technician will be reporting directly to the Field Line Manager and will be based in Dubai. As part of the HVAC Aftermarket team you will install, service, repair and carry out preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and equipment such as reciprocating and screw compressors, condensing units, evaporators, valves and control systems.

• Day to day execution of Service and Maintenance in line with Company best practices.
• Carry out service maintenance and retrofit projects on HVAC systems used for comfort and energy efficiency across large‑size projects comprising hospitals, retail and commercial buildings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to get the job done for HVAC installations.
• Plan, schedule, direct, monitor and control uniform service execution.
• Attend critical infrastructure sites and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities from product end‑of‑life and replacement/upgrade solutions.
• Identify business growth opportunities and service delivery improvements.

As a Technician you will use your strong HVAC technical knowledge to execute site surveys and carry out full dilapidation reports, inspecting all refrigeration components and recommending system enhancements, upgrades and replacements as necessary. You will understand the customer requirements and concerns by meeting them on a regular basis and provide the required technical services and repairs for HVAC systems. You will be determined and consistent in your approach to work, managing multiple priorities simultaneously due to your excellent planning and time‑management skills.

• Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent
• Minimum of 2–4 years experience in servicing, maintenance and overhauling of HVAC systems—air‑cooled chillers and compressor overhauling, specifically reciprocating and screw compressors.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience working on HVAC systems, mainly on chillers; brazing, vacuum and pressure test.
• Ability to read and understand electrical single‑line diagrams of HVAC systems.
• Experience in handling reports and communications concisely.
• Fluent in English.
• Valid driving licence.

• Experience in servicing/maintaining York, Carrier, Daikin, Trane and similar brands.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in servicing, maintenance and overhauling of HVAC systems—air‑cooled chillers and compressor overhauling, specifically reciprocating and screw compressors within the GCC region.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting electrical systems, variable‑speed drives.
