General Education Instructional Assistant

The job of General Education Instructional Assistant is an entry-level position done for the purpose of providing support to the instructional program within an assigned general education TK-12 classroom, with specific responsibility for working with individual and/or small groups of students; and providing learning processes support to teacher/s and staff. This job reports to the Assigned Supervisor.

Instructional Assistants/Paraeducators, whether general education or special education, are required by law to be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to assist with, instruction, reading/language arts, and mathematics, either by possessing an Associate's Degree or higher, 48 semester college units, or passing a minimum proficiency exam.

- 12:30 p.m.

Start Date:
