Responsibilities include:
- Directing the flow of traffic during peak traffic times on campus.
- Monitoring campus entrance/exits, parking lots, school grounds, and enforcing general campus regulations and reporting violations (students and parents) daily.
- Monitoring and reporting violations of parking policies to the Student Affairs department daily.
- Assisting school patrons, visitors, students and staff with the understanding of campus regulations.
- Assisting with other campus projects as needed; e.g. facilitating deliveries, moving boxes, and general campus maintenance.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to monitor the campus and direct traffic during school events
This is an active, hands-on position that requires frequent movement throughout the school campus. The Campus Monitor must be able to:
Walk and stand for extended periods throughout the school day.
Move frequently between classrooms, buildings, playgrounds, and other campus areas.
Safely move, push, pull, lift, carry, and reposition classroom furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as needed.
Assist with classroom setup, rearrangement, event setup, and breakdown.
Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move comfortably as needed to perform job duties.
Maintain the physical stamina and mobility necessary to actively supervise students and respond promptly to campus needs.
Work both indoors and outdoors and navigate stairs and varying campus surfaces.
Follow safe lifting and moving practices and seek assistance when needed.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with faculty, staff, students, and parents
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with private schools and education
- Collaborative, willing to help, kind, calm, supportive
