The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking a Part-Time Instructor, Human Anatomy and/or Human Physiology to teach part-time inthe

Biology department in Spring 2027 and beyond. Theideal candidate must have a passion for teaching and learning and astrong commitment to the missions and values of the community college. They must have community college experience teaching

Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and/or combined Human Anatomy and Physiology. We are looking for excellent instructors who are student-centered in their approach and dedicated to student success, have interest in curriculum and instructional improvement through ongoing critical thinking about student learning outcomes in courses and programs.

Applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements listed in order to be considered for the pool of qualified candidates. Applicants that meet the minimum requirements are not automatically accepted to teach at Chabot.

• 1.Deliver organized lectures to teach the topics as listed inthe course outline of record, which can be located at ,search under course
• 2.Evaluate students using formative assessments such as homework assignments, quizzes and exams
• 3.Teachin-person lab curriculum, that includes cadaver dissections, tosatisfy the course outline of record in collaboration with the lab technician and lead faculty for Anatomy (BIOS 42), Physiology (BIOS
  43), or Anatomy & Physiology (BIOS 15)
• 4.Provide effective and timely feedback to students
• 5.Create a welcoming and student-centered learning and teaching environment

Master's inany biological science OR Bachelor's in any biological science AND Master's in biochemistry,biophysics, or marine science OR the equivalent.

Evidence of understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural,disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnicbackgrounds of community college students, as these factors relateto the need for equity-minded practices within the classroom.

• 2.Online, hybrid, andHy Flexteachingexperience
• 3.Experience working or teaching in a laboratory
• 4.Experience performing human cadaver dissection while maintaining a safe working environment and following all required safety procedures
