Financial Analyst
General Purpose
As a Financial Analyst, you will support the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team by driving long‑term growth and financial results through forecasting, long‑term planning, reporting, and strategic analysis. You will provide insights to the Finance department and Senior Leadership, support consolidation, reporting, and analysis, and research and communicate variances and key drivers. On a quarterly basis, you will complete a wide range of analyses for the Executive team and the Quarterly Board Meeting.
Base salary range: $81,000 - $121,800, dependent on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
Essential Functions- Assist with the company’s weekly forecasting process. Understand the key P&L drivers (sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.) and make adjustments to reflect updated information.
- Work closely with business partners to solicit inputs, analyze results, and identify business drivers for variances.
- Assist with budgeting and long‑term planning, creating financial targets and communicating major updates to partners.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including analysis of business performance, inventory trends, and balance‑sheet data.
- Lead monthly store‑contribution analysis to provide insight on performance and identify root causes of drivers of profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree required with superior college performance, preferably in an analytical field.
- Minimum 3+ years post‑college experience in retail or financial analysis and planning.
- Strong analytical ability to synthesize data, error‑check, and design analyses to answer specific questions.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced Excel and modeling skills, and proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Power
BI, Hyperion) and PowerPoint. - Forward‑thinking, resourceful, and comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Strong personal character and integrity; trustworthy with confidential information.
Job requires sitting, standing, walking, typing, and working on a computer. Regular in‑office presence is expected, though a hybrid work arrangement may be possible.
