OverviewThe Senior Financial Analyst is a key role within the Finance organization, providing essential data to help senior management make decisions on profitability and strategic direction. The analyst utilizes complex financial models to assess macroeconomic impacts on our lending and deposit products, extracts and interprets data from the core system, and collaborates across business lines to deliver comprehensive forecasts and ad‑hoc profitability analysis.

Responsibilities- Elevate the FP&A team by providing advanced analytics, dashboards, and presentations.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex financial models for forecast and planning processes.
- Utilize macro‑economic forecasts to perform sensitivity analysis of portfolio drivers.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of finance and accounting reports based on systems knowledge and GAAP standards.
- Partner with business units to recommend strategic changes using summarized financial data and modeling tools.
- Lead model validation and process documentation efforts on behalf of the finance team.
- Oversee monthly maintenance and analysis of budget software, including recommendations for income and expense allocation and ensuring GL and planning database synchronization. Near‑term project involves implementation of the new budgeting system, Empyrean.
- Analyze internal and external drivers of credit union performance, recommending alternative performance measures and providing insightful commentary to executive leadership.
- Inspect performance‑to‑date metrics and assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Provide additional ad‑hoc analysis as needed for departmental and/or organizational projects.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and positively impact financial health through increased profitability.
- Use big‑picture thinking to suggest ideas and solutions to challenges.
- Work independently, think objectively, and interpret meaningful narratives from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Mentor junior team members to elevate their performance.
- Work efficiently and prioritize multiple requests with limited guidance, under tight deadlines while maintaining quality output.
- Understand and support organizational metrics used to measure success.
- Bring together data from sources such as Snowflake and SQL Server to drive analytics.
- Communicate effectively internally and externally, developing presentations for senior management, committees, and other financial institutions.
- Be results‑oriented, willing to dive into data, processes, and analytics.
- Break down and solve complex problems with strong business acumen and data‑driven techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA or other graduate degree desirable).
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or finance within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in creating and manipulating SQL databases with Python to extract core data.
- Regular use of Empyrean, Prologue, or other planning tools and general ledger systems.
- Ability to navigate and communicate statistical results.
- In‑depth knowledge of the budgeting and forecasting process with deposit or lending products.
- Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills, including handling large data volumes, validating with v‑lookups and pivot tables, and formatting data clearly.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Position is located in Dublin HQ.
Target Base Pay: $105,004 – $131,259 per year. Compensation is tailored based on role scope, experience, education, and market conditions. We offer a competitive total rewards package, including a Short‑Term Incentive program for all regular positions.
