Lead Finance Specialist

* About the Role:

*
* As a Lead Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of routine and complex Accounts Payable (AP) import invoices in accordance with the client company's policies and procedures. Build strong relationships with business partners by resolving escalated inquiries efficiently and serving as a liaison between banks, vendors, and merchants. Generate reports, ensure department deadlines are met, and support operational excellence through training, mentoring, and leading import finance activities to achieve productivity and performance goals.

* Key Responsibilities:

* + Review and process import invoices for Letters of Credit (LC), Open Account (OA), wire transfers, and ACH payments, resolving discrepancies and ensuring policy compliance.

+ Monitor payments, purchase orders, and bank transactions to identify and resolve issues promptly.

+ Research and resolve invoice and payment inquiries, escalating complex issues when needed.

+ Serve as a liaison between internal teams, banks, agents, and vendors to support smooth invoice and payment processing.

+ Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing, recordkeeping, and reporting for import finance activities.

+ Support month-end close activities and reporting to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy.

+ Assist with testing and implementation of import finance system enhancements and upgrades.

+ Support training of new team members and maintain process documentation.

* Qualifications:

*
* + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred

+ 4-6 years of work experience in Trade Finance or Accounting

+ Experience in working in a fast-paced high-volume invoice processing environment

+ Previous customer service experience in responding to complex customer inquiries and demonstrated analytical skills/problem solving

+

Experience with a variety of AP applications on a major computerized system

+ Perform job duties independently and organize work to meet priorities and deadlines

+ Strong written and communication skills to interact with internal and external business partners.

+ Solid Microsoft Excel skills (including V-lookup and pivot tables)

Work hours:

8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

+ Hybrid work model - Wednesdays in-person

** Pay Details:**  $26.00 per hour
