Overview
We are a dynamic company seeking an IT Support Engineer to enhance our support for end users. Our focus is on delivering stellar customer service and ensuring all users receive the assistance they need. We offer a full-time, permanent position with competitive pay ranging from $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, along with benefits including a 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, and paid time off.
Our team thrives on collaboration and is based in a physical office with a structured 8-hour workday from Monday to Friday.
- Minimum 2-4 years of prior IT experience.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in end-user or customer support essential.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows servers and technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Server 2019, Server 2022, Exchange Online, Office 365).
- Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Windows Pro desktops (Windows 11) within an Active Directory domain.
- Proficient in writing and maintaining Power Shell scripts.
- Basic understanding of VMware ESXi and Hyper-V, with the capability to manage virtual machines through vCenter.
- Experience in network troubleshooting across multi-location LAN/WAN setups.
- Proven skills with Dell laptops, desktops, and tablets.
- Familiarity with mobile device support is required.
- A+ or Network+ certification is an advantage.
- Experience with additional technologies such as Veeam One, Veeam Backup and Replication, Dell Switches, Nimble SAN, and Meraki firewalls is beneficial.
- Preferred familiarity with Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPhone).
- Ability to rapidly assimilate new tasks and technologies.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Advanced decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Solid project management experience.
- Business insight, professionalism, and knowledge are crucial.
- Availability for occasional travel; reliable transportation is necessary.
- Valid drivers license and ability to maintain insurability through company policies.
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to work extra hours when necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must present the company positively at all times.
- Background check, periodic drug screenings, and license checks mandatory.
- Manage end-user support effectively.
- Monitor the internal help desk ticketing system and efficiently close tickets.
- Provide assistance via phone, email, live remote support, and in-person for all users.
- Follow up on resolved issues to ensure user satisfaction.
- Strive for continual improvement in end-user support.
- Recognize patterns of recurring issues, report them internally, and suggest preventive measures.
- Collaborate with IT Director and Systems Administrator to implement enhancements for better user support.
- Identify problems and provide resolution suggestions.
- Develop scripts to automate and standardize processes.
- Perform workstation loading/scrapping and handle new user account setups and terminations.
- Image new workstations upon purchase.
- Set up new user accounts and workstations as directed by management.
- Manage user terminations as required by management.
- Assist with the setup of mobile devices for incoming users.
- Provide project support as necessary.
