We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead complex sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for our Software and SaaS solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving category strategies, optimizing software spend, mitigating commercial and legal risks, and maximizing buying power across the enterprise. You will work closely with cross-functional leadership—including IT, Finance, Security, and Legal—to ensure seamless execution from initial market research to final contract execution and ongoing vendor management.
Key Responsibilities & Duties Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation- Lead complex sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for enterprise Software and SaaS solutions, ensuring complete alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and execute data-driven supplier negotiation strategies to maximize buying power, optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), and enhance service quality.
- Drive cost savings and cost avoidance by proactively identifying consolidation opportunities, license optimization, and multi-year agreement structures.
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify emerging technologies and strategic sourcing opportunities.
- Own and manage end-to-end RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for complex products and services—from defining strategic requirements to solution evaluation, financial modeling, and formal vendor award.
- Implement procurement best practices and continuously optimize Software and SaaS category spend.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Information Security, and Legal teams to ensure all necessary contract controls, technical requirements, and legal protections are in place.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of a wide array of IT contract forms, including SaaS Agreements, Software Licensing, Hardware Maintenance, MNDAs, MSAs, DPAs, and SOWs
. - Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure high performance, cost efficiency, service level agreement (SLA) adherence, and contractual compliance.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for key vendor performance and commercial disputes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field. (An MBA or relevant professional certifications such as CPSM or CIPS are strongly preferred).
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, with a primary focus on Software and SaaS solutions.
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of SaaS licensing models, enterprise pricing structures, metrics, and complex legal considerations.
- Contract Knowledge: Proven expertise negotiating key legal and commercial terms within MSAs, DPAs, SaaS, and SOWs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to manage global teams, build consensus, and work seamlessly across IT, Finance, Legal, and Security functions.
- Negotiation & Analytics: Exceptional negotiation skills with strong analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making capabilities.
- Executive Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience preparing and delivering strategic presentations to financial and business leaders.
- Adaptability & Organization: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-stakes sourcing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
