Lead Fixture Execution for a High-Impact Retail Development Team

We’re seeking a Project Coordinator – Lead to oversee fixture execution across new store openings, remodels, and department updates. This role is about hands‑on, detail‑driven project leadership, ensuring fixtures are delivered, installed, and executed with precision across a national retail footprint.

You’ll be responsible not just for coordination, but for leading a team of Project Coordinators, guiding project execution across internal departments and external vendors. This is not a creative or merchandising role. This is retail project execution at scale.

What You’ll Do Project Execution and Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead the rollout of fixture projects across self checkout and special retail initiatives from planning through install closeout
  • Own execution timelines, vendor readiness, scope validation, and site condition coordination across multiple concurrent projects
  • Drive cross‑functional alignment with construction, store operations, vendors, and leadership to ensure all moving parts are on track
  • Schedule and lead all key project meetings including pre‑install calls, field escalation reviews, and post‑project debriefs
Team Oversight and Support
  • Provide day‑to‑day oversight and guidance to Project Coordinators assigned to active rollouts
  • Review project plans, task ownership, and communication strategies to ensure clarity and consistency across the team
  • Serve as a point of escalation and resolution when field blockers, vendor issues, or timeline conflicts arise
  • Support leadership in creating structure, accountability, and delivery consistency across the department
Vendor and Field Coordination
  • Manage vendor installation schedules, fixture shipments, delivery tracking, and site prep coordination
  • Communicate directly with store and field leadership to confirm execution readiness and resolve any on‑site issues
  • Track open punch items and drive resolution through cross‑team coordination and follow‑through
Tracking and Documentation
  • Maintain detailed project trackers, Smartsheet schedules, and rollout dashboards to ensure clear visibility for leadership
  • Review and contribute to installation guides and scope documents to support consistent execution across locations
  • Provide weekly reporting on rollout status, risk areas, and resolved issues
What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in fixture execution, store development, or retail installation project management, with proven success coordinating multi‑site rollouts
  • Strong leadership experience leading direct reports or project teams, not just vendors. Able to guide Project Coordinators, review plans, and ensure quality of execution across the team
  • Ability to own and drive complex fixture rollouts with minimal oversight while aligning construction, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Experience managing fast‑paced rollouts in a field‑heavy retail environment with hands‑on oversight of site readiness, shipment tracking, and vendor coordination
  • Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to maintain clear project documentation, installation schedules, and issue tracking across dozens of active projects
  • Strong communicator who can navigate changing priorities and keep multiple stakeholders aligned under pressure
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and shared project tracking systems
  • Comfortable working with fixture plans, install scopes, and site‑specific documentation (no CAD required)
Why Join Us
  • Step into a leadership role within one of retail’s most dynamic areas
  • Own execution across high‑visibility fixture initiatives with national impact
  • Join a high‑performing team inside a Fortune 500 retail environment, with long‑term opportunities to grow
