Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing & Industrial Engineer with 8+ years of experience to optimize manufacturing operations through factory layout planning, production process improvement, capacity planning, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial engineering methodologies, time studies, line balancing, NPI support, and manufacturing process optimization in a low-volume, high-mix production environment.
Roles & Responsibilities :
  • Design and optimize factory layouts and space utilization to improve workflow and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop and manage production planning and scheduling to meet operational and business objectives.
  • Conduct time studies using MODAPTS and MOST methodologies for greenfield assembly lines and process optimization.
  • Perform line balancing and Yamazumi analysis to improve productivity and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain Value Stream Maps (VSM) to identify waste and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop capacity planning models and perform productivity analysis to support production requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and standardized manufacturing documentation.
  • Lead tooling, fixture, workstation, and assembly equipment development initiatives to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by developing efficient manufacturing processes and production readiness plans.
  • Conduct PFMEA, develop Control Plans, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement CAPA activities for process improvements.
  • Lead warehouse optimization initiatives to improve material flow and inventory management.
  • Apply industrial ergonomics principles to improve workstation design and operator safety.
  • Monitor and analyze production KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and support operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support manufacturing automation and smart manufacturing initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
Requirements/

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in factory layout planning and space utilization optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with production planning, scheduling, and capacity planning.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience conducting time studies using MODAPTS and/or MOST techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of line balancing, Yamazumi analysis, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Factory CAD, or similar layout design software.
  • Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA methodologies.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.
  • Experience leading tooling, fixture, workstation, and assembly equipment development projects.
  • Knowledge of warehouse optimization, material flow, and industrial ergonomics.
  • Ability to analyze production KPIs and implement productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to automation, smart manufacturing systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
