Overview

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll move continuously and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is key, as you may work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness of the floor and stockrooms and help customers find great deals.
Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments.
- A day in the life for Sales and Customer Service: Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway-ready, sized and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
- Assist customers with cashiering across multiple platforms (in-store, online and mobile), operating a point-of-sale system, bagging, handling items including bulky or heavy items, and ensuring a seamless, friendly experience.
- Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting/returning clothing to the floor.
- Keep the salesfloor clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing.
- Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
- Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
- Adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards.
- Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- A day in the life for Stock, Support and Fulfillment: Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
- Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
- Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards.
- Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments per inventory control processes.
- Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
- Provide general store support (e.g., set up special events, organize backroom, conduct markdowns, relocate store fixtures).
- Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
- Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift with bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and other motions to handle merchandise and assist customers.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping and manipulation; pushing and pulling items.
- Handle bulky items and lift items up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds occasionally;
Stock and Fulfillment roles may require up to 50 pounds.
- Pay range: $21.00 - $21.85 hourly (varies by location, knowledge, skills and experience).
