Associate AI Engineer

We are seeking an Associate AI Engineer to join our Workforce AI organization in Dublin, CA. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to kickstart a career in AI and cloud-based software development. The Associate AI Engineer will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and UX designers to deliver AI-powered workforce intelligence solutions that are technically robust, user-friendly, and accessible.

• Develop backend services, APIs, and AI-enabled features under the mentorship of senior engineers
• Implement solutions that align with system design specifications and best practices
• Integrate AI and machine learning models into production-ready software
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established coding standards
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables

• Work closely with UX designers to understand user requirements, workflows, and usability considerations
• Translate UX designs, wireframes, and interaction patterns into well-structured code
• Provide input on technical feasibility and suggest design optimizations
• Ensure features meet usability, accessibility, and user‑centered design principles
• Contribute to design discussions and help shape the user experience of our products

• Follow agile development methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design diagrams, and implementation notes
• Conduct thorough testing and validation to meet performance, security, and quality standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
• Familiarity with databases (SQL/No
  
  SQL) and RESTful API development
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning concepts, and their applications in software systems
• Exposure to UX design principles and ability to implement designs with high fidelity
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Passion for emerging technologies and desire to learn and grow in the AI and cloud computing domain

• Internship or project experience in AI/ML, cloud computing, or software engineering
• Familiarity with AWS services and development tools
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or other AI subdomains relevant to workforce intelligence
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance considerations in AI systems

Cornerstone offers an equitable pay structure, market‑driven research, and skill‑based appraisals. Compensation may include annual bonuses, short‑ and program‑specific awards, and a comprehensive benefits package. The base salary range for this position is $91,400 – $146,200 USD, adjusted based on education, experience, and market conditions.
