About the RoleThe Sr. Operations Specialist, Logistics will facilitate supply chain logistics and manage on‑site service inventory at Door Dash Labs. You will handle, move, and organize materials, components, and finished goods within our autonomous robotics service environment, using inventory management systems, safety protocols, and material handling equipment. All activities will be tracked in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will work cross‑functionally with operations and engineering teams, and report to the Manager of Supply Chain and Maintenance Planning.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex material handling tasks: receiving, unpacking, inspecting, storing, issuing, and shipping a wide range of components and robotic systems.
- Safely and efficiently operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and interact with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for material transport.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
- Prepare and pack materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer specifications, including international shipping requirements.
- Handle hazardous materials in accordance with established safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records within CMMS software.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory reconciliation, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate potential shortages or overages to relevant departments.
- Implement and maintain efficient storage solutions, optimizing space utilization and material accessibility.
- Collaborate effectively with service operations, engineering, quality, and other teams to ensure seamless material flow.
- Train and mentor less experienced logistics specialists on best practices, safety procedures, and system usage.
- Proactively identify and suggest improvements to material handling processes and workflows.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Associate's degree or technical certification preferred. - 3+ years of demonstrated experience as a material handler or logistics associate in a manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably high‑tech, electronics, or robotics.
- Proven experience with ERP systems.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating various material handling equipment (forklift, reach truck, etc.).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
Base salary range: $28.40–$41.80 USD per hour. Compensation is localized based on work location and is determined by skills, experience, and relevant factors.
