Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced  Hospitalist Physician with leadership experience  to step into a  Medical Director / Team Lead role  supporting a regional hospital medicine program in  Dublin, Georgia .

This role blends  clinical hospitalist practice with program leadership responsibilities , partnering with hospital administration and physician leadership to improve operational performance, build a strong physician roster, and maintain quality metrics across the hospital medicine service.

This opportunity is ideal for  Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained Hospitalists with prior leadership or medical director experience  who enjoy building high-performing teams and improving hospital medicine programs.

This hospital serves as a major healthcare provider for  Middle Georgia communities between Macon and Savannah .

Facility highlights include:

Approximately  190-bed acute care hospital

Level III Trauma Center  designation

24-hour Emergency Department and full surgical services

Comprehensive specialty coverage across multiple service lines

The hospital provides healthcare services for  several surrounding counties and a regional patient population exceeding 200,000 residents .

Hospital Medicine Program Structure

Typical hospitalist program structure includes:

7 on / 7 off schedule

12-hour shifts (7a – 7p)

Team of approximately  14 physicians and APP support staff

Open ICU environment with specialty support

No call model

Hospitalists manage adult inpatient care and coordinate with consulting services across the hospital.

Leadership Responsibilities

The Hospitalist Medical Director / Team Lead will guidethe hospital medicine program and work closely with hospital leadership.

Responsibilities include:

Partnering with the  Chief Medical Officer and hospital leadership  on operational and quality initiatives

Managing physician scheduling and assisting with coverage of open shifts

Supporting provider performance management and helping address team conflict issues when they arise

Participating in recruitment efforts including interviewing candidates to build a full-time hospitalist roster

Supporting hospital performance metrics including:

Length of stay

Patient satisfaction

Provider retention

Operational and budget targets

This leadership role acts as the bridge between hospital administration and the hospitalist team.

Clinical Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult medical patients

Manage admissions, rounding, and discharge planning

Collaborate with specialty consultants across multiple service lines

Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination

Ensure timely documentation in Epic EMR

Maintain quality standards and throughput metrics across the hospital medicine service

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible

Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

Active Georgia medical license (or ability to obtain)

Prior leadership experience required including:

Hospitalist leadership

Medical Director responsibilities

Scheduling oversight

Quality or operational management

Strong communication and team-building skills preferred.
