The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards for products and manufacturing processes. This role uses statistical analysis, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement methods to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain quality systems, inspection plans, and process controls.
- Analyze quality data using statistical tools (SPC, process capability, hypothesis testing, sampling plans).
- Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support product development and manufacturing teams with quality improvements.
- Lead failure investigations and participate in Material Review Board activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Prepare quality reports, training materials, and customer/regulatory audit documentation.
- Mentor junior team members and lead quality-related projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC, audits, inspection methods, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Aerospace or regulated manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- ASQ Certification is a plus.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
