Military Flight Controls Division Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace’s Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Tested, proven and trusted in commercial and military applications for decades, MFCD provides precise position-control actuation solutions for military aircraft across the United States and with foreign partners. The division’s Jet Pipe® electrohydraulic servo valve (EHSV) technology is used across commercial and military aircraft around the world.

Headquartered in Irvine, California, the Military Flight Controls Division is the global leader in fly-by-wire flight control systems and electrohydraulic products and offers the world's most advanced motor design capabilities for flight controls.

The Quality Manager II leads a team of Quality professionals (e.g., inspection, compliance, engineering) to drive manufacturing quality process improvements at a larger single site or across multiple sites within a division. This role owns execution and sustainment of the Quality Management System (QMS) in complex environments with variation in products, processes, and customer/market requirements. The manager routinely partners with Operations and Engineering.

May oversee supplier/service provider performance with regular customer interaction as needed. The position manages multiple value streams and process improvement initiatives.

QMS Ownership and Governance
  • Owns and drives adherence to Parker Quality Process (PQP) methodologies and principles through deployment of PQP tools within the site.
  • Lead execution and sustainment of the QMS (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 as applicable) across complex or multi-site operations.
  • Establish and maintain audit readiness; coordinate internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Own document control, training, and management review inputs; ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Manufacturing Quality Leadership
  • Direct daily quality operations across multiple value streams (inspection, testing, nonconformance management, MRB).
  • Ensure adherence to control plans, standard work, and change control; validate effectiveness of process controls and product verification.
  • Monitor and improve key metrics (e.g., FPY, scrap, rework, complaints, cost of quality); drive continuous improvement roadmaps.
Structured Problem Solving and Risk Reduction
  • Lead complex root cause analysis and CAPA using A3, 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone; verify effectiveness and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain and improve PFMEAs, Control Plans, and risk registers; lead SPC implementation and process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk).
