Description:
Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy.
The expectation is to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
This position is for pre-operative and post-operative care, not an OR Circulator.
Candidates must have experience in both Pre-op and Post-op settings.
1+ years of experience is acceptable.
The unit has 14 beds with patient ratios of 2-3:1 in Post-op and 1-2:1 in Pre-op, based on patient acuity.
Unit staffing includes 1 full-time PCT.Equipment used includes bladder scanner, vein finder, and EKG machine.
The documentation system utilized is Meditech.
Scheduling requirements are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with on-call duties.
Floating within Surgical Services may occur as needed, following facility policy.
Advanced skills are not required for this position.
Procedures performed in this unit include IV starts, administering basic IV infusions, Foley insertion, and EKG monitoring.
Dress code requires ceil blue scrub top and bottom.
