The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Human Resources team is seeking a dynamic and resourceful individual to serve as our next Learning & Development Partner! The Learning & Development Partner supports CSBMG's organizational learning and workforce development strategy by identifying learning needs and developing solutions that strengthen employee, manager, and organizational performance. This hands-on role partners with Human Resources, organizational leaders, and subject-matter experts to design, facilitate, and evaluate learning initiatives, including onboarding, manager and leadership development, performance management, and career development.
The ideal candidate is an experienced trainer, facilitator, learning professional, or people leader who can think strategically, execute effectively, and help build a growing Learning & Development function. This position reports to the Director, Human Resources.
Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Partner:
- Partner with HR Business Partners and organizational leaders to identify learning, skill, knowledge, and workforce capability needs
- Conduct learning needs assessments and recommend appropriate learning and development interventions
- Assess performance challenges and determine when training, development, or another organizational intervention is appropriate
- Design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning experiences
- Develop practical learning resources, including curricula, presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and assessments
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of programs for current supervisors and managers
- Develop structured learning opportunities that prepare high-potential employees for future leadership responsibilities
- Own the design, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of New Employee Orientation
- Partner with HR and organizational leaders to strengthen the overall onboarding and new-hire experience
- Support performance management initiatives by developing resources and education related to goal setting, feedback, coaching, performance conversations, and evaluations
- Support organizational career development, career-pathing, and succession-planning initiatives
- Partner with subject-matter experts to translate complex operational, technical, and regulatory information into effective learning experiences
- Support and optimize organizational learning systems, including ADP and Relias
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and streamline Learning & Development processes
- Maintain oversight of required organizational training and learning compliance processes
- Monitor training completion and escalate compliance gaps as appropriate
- Ensure learning documentation, training records, credentials, and related information remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready
- Establish and monitor meaningful Learning & Development metrics and key performance indicators
- Evaluate learning effectiveness using measures beyond course completion and participant satisfaction
- Use learning data, organizational outcomes, and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve learning programs
- Provide hands-on operational support for Learning & Development activities as needed while developing scalable and sustainable processes for the future
Here are some of the things we require:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Two (2) years of professional experience in learning and development, training, organizational development, talent development, human resources or a related area
- Demonstrated experience facilitating learning for adult/professional audiences
- Demonstrated experience developing, improving, or implementing learning programs, training materials, processes, or related initiatives
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to build effective partnerships and consult with employees and leaders across organizational levels
