Technical And Administrative Support

The purpose of this classification is to perform technical and administrative support work functions associated with building, setting up, installing, and maintaining computer and network systems, providing technical support and service to end users, and ensuring reliable network performance to support company operating goals.

Essential functions include answering help desk calls and assisting store personnel with point of sale (POS) systems, hardware, and software issues; logging, tracking, and following up on support requests; identifying and reporting recurring problems; troubleshooting and resolving basic network, hardware, and software issues; installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, POS systems, and peripheral equipment; assisting with system updates, backups, and routine maintenance;

providing user support and basic training on system use and best practices; maintaining inventory of IT supplies and assisting with ordering and equipment distribution; testing and preparing equipment for deployment or return; keeping accurate documentation of support activities and system changes; maintaining organized work and storage areas; occasionally traveling to store locations for setup, maintenance, or troubleshooting; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED plus appropriate required certification; one (1) year of experience in installation and maintenance of computer and network systems, network applications, hardware and software support services, or administrative support; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license or for applicable state in which employee resides.
