FABRICATION TECHNICIAN II - DOORS

Summary:

The purpose of this position is to use various hand tools and machines to cut, fabricate, and assemble architectural aluminum products.

• Operate all automatic and manual equipment for both processing lines.
• Operate forklifts (straight and side loader).
• Operate workstation crane during tool & jig change overs.
• Process scrap to melting/casting, including completing weight checks and weight ticket applications.
• Reset line troubles.
• Package parts.
• Operate every production job in the department.

Pay: $17.53–$20.93 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

• High School diploma/GED (minimum).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read drawings, micrometers, and calipers.
• Valid forklift operator license.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Prior equipment operation experience is a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Vigilant about safety.
• Quality-conscious, oriented toward excellence.

Less than 5% travel.

Typical demands include close, distance, and peripheral vision, standing, walking, handling, reaching with hands and arms, occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Work performed in a loud environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high heat, wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. Appropriate safety protective equipment must be worn as required.
