Summary:

This position will report to the Supervisor, FBZ and Receiving. The purpose of this position is to carry out all duties involved with unloading and receiving material into the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Ability to handle deliveries and inventory control procedures
• Loading and unloading packages up to at least 50 lbs.
• Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and item numbers with information on invoices or packing slips and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damages.
• Inspect shipments for damage defects.
• Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer planners and other personnel
• Submit proper documents and notifications to accounts payable.
• Delivers materials systematically and physically to various locations within the plant in a timely manner
• Must be able to operate a forklift truck.

At YKK AP America Inc., pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $17.88-$21.35, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED (minimum)
• Have a good understanding of BPCS & ADC systems
• Good communications and computer skills
• Ability to add & subtract, multiply, divide.
• Knowledge of inventory procedures and transactions
• Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Be vigilant about safety
• Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

Travel Requirements:
The travel required for this position is less than 5%.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and may occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. An individual may be required to wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as outlined by safety program rules. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration.
