A growing automotive component manufacturer is seeking an experienced SMT Process Engineering Lead to support the launch of a new automotive electronics manufacturing operation in Dublin, Georgia.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth organization during a critical expansion phase and play a key role in establishing new Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines supporting next-generation automotive electronic products.

Due to an aggressive launch schedule, we are looking to identify and hire the right candidate immediately, with a target start date of September 18
.

Position Summary

The SMT Process Engineering Lead will play a critical role in the successful launch and ongoing support of a new SMT manufacturing facility.

This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for equipment commissioning, process optimization, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, and has strong expertise in SMT processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support SMT equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain SMT manufacturing processes
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues
  • Lead yield improvement and defect reduction initiatives
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  • Partner with quality, production, and engineering teams to drive operational excellence
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Assist with training and development of production personnel
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong manufacturing process engineering background
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment and automated processes
  • Strong communication and project leadership skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a startup or launch environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • SMT manufacturing experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Pick & Place/Mounter Equipment
  • Reflow Ovens
  • AOI (Automated Optical Inspection)
  • Automotive manufacturing experience
  • Korean-English bilingual proficiency strongly preferred

Candidates without Korean language skills will be considered if they possess exceptional SMT process engineering experience.

Salary: $65,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience
