Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, you are responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of your patient assignment. You will provide services such as caring for cardiac/peripheral procedural patients, post sheath removal, recognition of groin complications, EKG interpretation, abnormal lab value recognition and reporting of the results to the physician.
Responsibilities- Provide care for adult patients between 18 to 64 years, and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on all invasive procedures, preparing patients appropriately according to policy.
- Manage efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, arranging testing and admissions.
- Provide therapeutic services necessary for the care of the patient.
- Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor within 60 months of employment start date.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree.
