Dublin GA Dublin is a city in Laurens County, Georgia with a population of approximately 16,000. The town, named such because the Middle Georgia Piedmont reminded Irish settlers of terrain in their native country, was founded on the Oconee River, which starts in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia before combining with the Ocmulgee River to form the Altamaha, a river which then proceeds to its mouth on the Atlantic Ocean.

The Oconee forms the eastern boundary of Dublin, separating it from the city of East Dublin.

The city is located in the central part of the state. Savannah is 117 miles (188 km) east, and Macon is 53 miles (85 km) northwest.

POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to) Nurse(s) shall be responsible for providing services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center (CVVAMC) Dublin and Outpatient Clinics. Assigned duties include but are not limited to:

• Charge Nurse;
  Documentation;
  Phone calls;
  Facilitation of meetings.
• IV and Foley catheter insertion;
  Wound card; ADL care.
• Assessments; BS Check.
• Insulin and medication administration; G-Tubes.
• Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care.
• Skills in time management, priority setting, assessment and urgent intervention are required for this position.
• Nursing duties associated with the Dublin VHA.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• LPN Degree, Graduated from Nationally Accredited Nursing program
• Must be currently certified or licensed, as appropriate, in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All licenses shall be full and unrestricted licenses
• Technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently
• Nurses must possess active license in state of practice
• Must possess an active BLS Certification
• Must be able to provide copy of immunizations and TB test results within the last year

SHIFTS:

all shifts open, rotating weekends and occasional holidays
