Trainee Meat Cutter Job Description

• Engage in meat cutting and merchandising while adhering to proper trimming techniques.
• Learn to safely operate and maintain meat cutting equipment, including band saws.
• Follow established Safety and Sanitation Procedures to ensure a clean work environment.
• Acquire the necessary skills and hands‑on experience to advance your career as a Meat Cutter.
• Assist with unloading trucks and performing check‑ins to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Help maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Wrap meat efficiently and manage display cases to enhance customer experience.
• Collaborate with the Meat Manager on Duty and complete additional assigned tasks.

• Ability to cut and trim meat according to specifications using company guidelines.
• Strong ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency in mathematics, including counting, addition, and subtraction.

• Comfortable and safe working near meat cutting and grinding equipment.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds safely and with control.
• Willingness to perform tasks involving standing, walking, reaching, bending/stooping, and repetitive hand movements.
