General

Job Duties for All Store Team Members
  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
  • Prepare product.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Communication Skills
  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculation may use a calculator).
  • Accurate monetary change handling.
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills for taking and processing orders.
  • Manual dexterity to rapidly and accurately manipulate items.
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
  • Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
  • In‑store temperatures from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas.
  • Sudden changes in temperature while inside and outside.
  • Fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust.
  • Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
  • Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
SENSING & TEMPERAMENTS
  • Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most tasks.
  • Depth perception for manipulating objects.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
  • Work requires directing activities, repetitive tasks, working alone and with others, working under stress, meeting quality control standards, dealing with people, analyzing data, making judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing: Most tasks performed while standing; walking surfaces include ceramic tile "bricks" with linoleum.
  • Walking: For short distances for short durations.
  • Sitting: Paperwork normally completed in an office at a desk or table.
  • Lifting: Bulk product deliveries made twice a week or more unloaded with hand truck; cases up to 50 lbs and dimensions up to 3’×1.5’; cases usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.
  • Carrying: Large cans weighing 3 lbs 7 oz; occasional 30‑lb pizza sauce from storage to front of store; trays of dough carried three at a time, approx 12 lbs per tray.
  • Pushing: Move trays placed on dollies; stack of trays on a dolly approximately 24”‑30” requiring up to 7.5 lbs force to push; trays may also be pulled.
  • Climbing: Occasionally navigate stairs or climb ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, perform maintenance.
  • Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist at pizza assembly station; about 30‑45 sec at one time, repeated continuously; same for front counter and stocking ingredients.
  • Crouching/Squatting: Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
  • Reaching: Continuously up, down, forward; above 72" to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on sign, lift and lower items; down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward for toppings, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones.
  • Hand Tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of one or both hands; shaping dough requires forearm and wrist force; handle pizza peel and rolling cutter; pinch forceful in assembling cardboard pizza boxes.
  • Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids: Use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
