Job SummaryMust be a Journeyman Maintenance card holder, or hold an AAS Degree in a field of Electronics, or have 5 years of tradesman training. Alternatively, one must be able to pass the required Math and Mechanical Comprehension Testing. Responsibilities include electrical fabrication, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical circuits from 5 volts to 4160 volts; installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics, PLCs, and machine controls plant wide;
repair and maintenance of plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; use of welding and cutting equipment; knowledge of various shop equipment; work with oils and lubricants; and specialized experience related to skilled trades.
- Perform skilled mechanical/electrical repairs to plant equipment and systems.
- Be available for overtime and callouts.
- Lift 50+ pounds unassisted and climb ladders.
- Wear respirator and required PPE for Batch House.
- Perform electrical/mechanical maintenance.
- Work at heights over 150 feet.
- Use cutting torch and stick welding.
- Work in extreme heat during furnace hot repair.
- Follow all instructions from management.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, including starters, motor replacements, photo‑eyes, inverters, plant inspection equipment, carton equipment, and palletizing equipment.
- Perform occasional welding, brazing, cutting, and soldering.
- Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, voltage and amp meters, and shop tools.
- Cover vacations, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Follow up on job changes.
- Start compressors, vacuum pumps, and related equipment after power failures.
- Keep work area clean using good work methods and ethics.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, diagnose, change, or install new programs via laptop.
- Repair and maintain inspection equipment, conveyors, case packers, palletizers, and related selected equipment.
- Set up and modify inspection equipment to maintain production quality.
- Work a 7‑day shift rotation (8‑hour shifts) pattern 7A‑3P‑3P‑11P‑11P‑7A.
- Salary is $41.27 per hour.
