Local Delivery Driver - CDL A

Overview

PBNA $29.15 / hour. This position delivers to all types of customers including Food service. The driver operates the delivery vehicle and delivers product to stores, with responsibilities that include ongoing rotating and stocking of product on store shelves, displays, in coolers and vending equipment. The role involves building small displays and setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners.

The position generates invoice and is responsible for daily settlement of cash and charges. Frequent interaction with store management and store receiving personnel is required for load acceptance as needed. The role requires lifting and loading cases ranging from 20–45 pounds repeatedly, pushing/pulling with 40–150 pounds of force, and performing reaching, squatting and bending while delivering and merchandising in-store. Unloading pallets from the delivery vehicle with an electronic pallet jack or 2‑wheel hand truck and placing product in designated backroom areas is also required.

• Deliver product and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
• Merchandise all accounts to local standards
• Establish positive working relationships with the primary contact at each account

• 21 years or older
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
• Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)

Note:

In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (e.g., basic driving functions such as forward and reverse, maneuvering in tight spaces)
• Adhering to all DOT regulations (e.g., reading and comprehending documentation, maintaining medical cards)
• Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating stock, cleaning shelves, eliminating out-of-stocks)
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (e.g., pallet jacks, dock plates, load bars and straps)
• Operating equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.)
• Documenting DOT regulations (e.g., reading and maintaining medical cards)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Because the material duties involve regular field work away from a Company location, following a conditional offer of employment the Company may conduct a review of criminal history to ensure safety.
