AboutThe Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality payroll processing and client service. You will work closely with clients to ensure payroll data is accurate, deadlines are met, and tax-related matters are handled efficiently. Your ability to provide exceptional customer support while maintaining accuracy and compliance will be essential in this role.
What You'll Do- Manage and maintain a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Communicate with clients daily to collect payroll data, including salary adjustments, deductions, and tax allocations.
- Enter and verify all payroll-related data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Serve as a trusted resource for clients, answering payroll-related questions and resolving concerns.
- Maintain and update client files and payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Research and troubleshoot payroll system issues, working to provide solutions efficiently.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, agencies, and team members to foster a culture of quality service.
- Assist with tax-related matters to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations – escalating to the Tax Team as necessary.
- Payroll expertise: understanding of payroll processing, tax allocations, and compliance best practices.
- Client-focused mindset: strong customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Tech-savvy: proficiency in MS Office and comfort with payroll software systems; experience with Isolved is required.
- Detail-oriented: ability to process and verify payroll data with accuracy and efficiency.
- Organized & efficient: strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communicator: excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist clients and resolve issues effectively.

Salary: $24 - $31.25 per hour
