Position: Accountant 1

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant I to join our Accounting team on a temporary basis. This position will provide critical support during a departmental transition by processing high-volume transactions and assisting with key accounting functions. The successful candidate will help ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory and vendor-related transactions while supporting month‑end close activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process a high volume of inventory transactions, including transfers, write‑offs, and corrections.
  • Assist with month‑end close activities by running, reviewing, and distributing Gross Margin and Contribution Margin reports.
  • Review and create new vendor records in Microsoft Dynamics GP for Accounts Payable.
  • Maintain accurate vendor master data and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding vendor setup requests and the status of vendor records.
  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Entry‑level accounting experience with at least one year of relevant accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
