POSITION SUMMARY:The Staff Accountant will provide general administrative support to the management team assisting with day‑to‑day tasks and data entry. This is an important role in the organization that will require service, tact, diplomacy, and a professional approach to the job. Confidentiality is critical.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Financial Duties and Responsibilities
- Payroll processing assistance
- Cash handling, bank deposits and reconciliation
- Collections and Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable, Receivable and Journal Entries
- Point of Sale reconciliation
- Prepare monthly Expense Reports
- Prepare month end close
- Oversight and scheduling of Guest Services staff
- Assist with ordering team uniforms, camp T's, employee uniforms and other items as needed
- Maintains record keeping
- Provides administrative support relative to contracts, certificates of insurance, W9 forms, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and callers by resolving information requests, directing to the appropriate parties or taking messages
- Perform general office duties, such as order office supplies, maintain database systems, distribute mail
- Other duties as assigned
- Degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred (or acceptable experience in lieu of degree)
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience using Quick Books, Dynamics, Tyler Munis (preferred)
- Well organized and thorough with the ability to multi‑task
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Team approach to task completion
- Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
- Must comply with safety and health code standards
- Facility has intermittent noise
