Registrar

To efficiently and expeditiously manage and maintain records of current high school students, including credits, grade data and transcripts.

A high school diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent. A good knowledge of typing, filing, and data processing entry. To be self motivated with an attention to detail. A courteous and pleasing personality. A customer service attitude with an ability to handle people in difficult situations. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Sends for and follows up on all requests for new student information/records. Prepares and sends records to other schools for students who have withdrawn. Prepares cumulative folder and health folder for all new students, and inputs the students' information into the computer. Notifies new student's teachers of grades in comparable subjects from student's previous school. Maintains complete and accurate/up to date credit and grade data on permanent folders and in the computer system data base.

Prepares student transcripts for college applications and sends out final transcripts to colleges. Aids Tolles Technical Center with permanent folder and transcript information on registering and withdrawing students. Processes student withdrawal procedures. Hands out forms to students, collects forms at end of day, copies and sends forms with the withdrawing student. Serves as data entry person on all functions related to scheduling and grades.

During the summer, accomplishes those general secretarial tasks assigned by the building principal or his/her designee. Ensures the safety of students. Establishes and maintains cooperative professional relationships. Remains free of any alcohol or nonprescription controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout employment in the district. Exhibits professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment. Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, and intelligent human beings.

Understands the legal responsibility to help instill in students the belief in, and practice of, ethical principles and democratic values. Maintains confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.

261 Days (251 Days; 10 paid holidays); 8 hours per day excluding lunch. Salary as provided by negotiated agreement. Work year to be established by the Board. $30.54/HR.

- $32.13/HR.
