Lead the continuous improvement of the overall restaurant technology vendor management team/process including existing and new contract development and management, vendor performance management (quarterly business review leadership, scorecard production, performance improvement action planning, vendor escalations, etc.), the overall restaurant technology hardware product lifecycle process (hardware end of life/support calendar, new or modified hardware specification identification and sourcing, inventory forecasting vendor process and overall communication), and the continuous improvement of the purchasing process for company‑owned restaurants (order intake process, purchase order development and execution, invoice receipt to submittal to final payment reporting and tracking by projects, etc.).
CoreResponsibilities
- Define, develop and implement vendor management processes to onboard, measure, assess and offboard vendors. This includes gathering regular stakeholder feedback on vendor performance and execution to identify future vendor opportunities needed to support all restaurant technology initiatives.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams on all implementation programs and projects that will require new or modified parts or materials, RFPs, net new or modified contracts, statements of work, etc. to ensure timelines are met and efficiencies are in place for general execution.
- Drive for cross‑functional continuous improvement opportunities around the purchasing and billing process for better execution and budget adherence. This will apply to all implementation projects, IT construction and the overall Wendy’s Field Tech program.
- Lead direct reports to execute with excellence leveraging Wendy’s career development framework to ensure role mastery and personal development milestones are achieved.
Pay Range: $ - $ Annually
What We Expect From You- Postsecondary education in business management, legal, accounting, or computer science or equivalent work experience preferred
- Five or more years of experience building IT vendor management processes and managing complex IT contracts
- Previous experience in the quick service restaurant business, specifically in partnering with franchisees preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with IT & business leaders to understand requirements, expectations & value measurements
- Understanding of vendor organizations, including motivations, strategic plans, decision‑making processes, market challenges and potential issues (political, influence) that impact vendor relationships
- Knowledge of market trends in contract and pricing models, service delivery and performance management, and innovation
- Ability to understand internal customer and vendor business goals and strategies with the intent of establishing and managing to a common set of goals
- Demonstrated capacity to understand complex issues and initiatives and the ability to sustain communication on these topics with business and tech
It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy’s Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
