Project Manager – Commercial

We are seeking a driven, self-starting Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects in the Columbus area. Joining an Employee-Owned (ESOP) company, you will take ownership of your projects from initial site setup through final close-out. The ideal candidate is an independent worker capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining exceptional relationships with clients, tradesmen, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful, cost-effective execution of commercial developments while managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive construction schedules.
  • Direct and train on-site personnel, manage daily performance, and proactively resolve on-site issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, communicating effectively with owners, design professionals, property staff, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and tradesmen.
  • Act as a dedicated customer sponsor to ensure client satisfaction and maintain top-tier business relationships.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in construction, with proven Project Manager experience in commercial construction.
  • A 4-year degree with 2–4 years of related PM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
  • Must submit a commercial project list alongside your application.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly master Procore.
  • Strong ability to read complex financial and legal documents, establish facts, and solve problems independently.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Frequently:
    Stand, walk, and sit.
  • Regularly:
    Talk, hear, see, and use hands to handle materials.
  • Occasionally:
    Stoop, kneel, crawl, or lift/move up to 25 lbs. (Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions).
