POSITION INFORMATION

Join our dynamic team as a CAD Design Technician! In this role, you will assist Senior CAD Technicians by applying your knowledge of engineering and land surveying processes along with software applications crucial for effective planning, implementation, and quality review of engineering and surveying tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with 1-4 years of experience in CAD data processing who are eager to learn and grow.

PRIMARY

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the preparation of drawings, sketches, calculations, and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in researching land records, deeds, subdivision maps, easements, and more.
  • Keep your supervisor updated on any key issues or concerns promptly.
  • Engage in field/survey tasks as assigned and perform related duties when necessary.
  • Continuously update your knowledge of all relevant standards and details from ODOT, OTIC, and local municipalities.
  • Provide technical support to engineering, communications, and business management teams.
  • Ensure a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to local, company, and client safety protocols.
  • Stay current with trends in planning, community design, sustainability, and engagement strategies.
SKILL SET
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, Micro Station, Bentley Open Roads Designer, along with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, like Revit, is a plus.
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new software and technologies to enhance work efficiency.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively in diverse project settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record is required.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

A degree is preferred, or equivalent training/experience.
