Responsibilities- Lead & support engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, performance design using 3‑D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2‑D drawing creation.
- Analyze & resolve problems with a moderate level of guidance & direction.
- Create part specification requirements & BOM. Negotiate with surrounding component business units & suppliers.
- Validate designs by performing finite element analysis using available CAE/CFD software tools.
- Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up‑to‑date technology & reduce design and parts costs.
- Travel to client sites.
- Will work in various unanticipated locations throughout U.S. – 5% domestic travel.
- Telecommuting option – employee must live in Ohio.
- Bachelor’s in Industrial Design or Engineering & 3 years experience, including 3 years experience in design & development of auto plastics (interiors and exteriors); 3 years experience using CATIA V5; & 1 year experience using Adobe Illustrator.
